Every month Shlink Lincoln Sports Golf Card Review will be breaking down the Top 25 SP Authentic Golf Rookie card sales. As a dedicated collector of SPA Golf Rookies I keep a close eye on the eBay market. Rankings are not based on price alone as there must be at least two sales per month for a card to qualify. Notable single card sales are listed at the end of the rankings.

Note for April rankings:

With exactly 300 total sales, SP Authentic Golf rookies are still selling strong, though prices have come down to Earth a bit with the end of the Tiger Grand Slam hype. Last month there were 20 $ Change increases, this month only 10. Still, with over a month to go before the U.S. Open, May just may be the best month thus far to find SPA RC bargains.

#1	Avg. Price $6869.60 High Price $9161.00 (BGS 9.5)	Tiger Woods 2001 SP Authentic Auto /900 Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. With only one Tiger Gold /100 sale last month, Tiger /900 reclaims the top spot and in dominating fashion. There were 25 sales of this card last month, doubling the sales from March. Even though the Tiger RC hype has died a bit after the Grand Slam is no longer, it still sees a 4% increase. It's good to be king.	Last Month #2 +1 $ Change +4%
#2	Avg. Price $291.80 High Price $391.00	Lorena Ochoa 2003 SP Authentic Limited Auto /100 Last month this card joined the rankings for the first time and I didn't think it would garner enough sales to stay. Well little did I know that April would belong to Lorena both on the LPGA Tour and in the Golf Card world. Lorena's Limited RC is shaping up to be the next big Golf RC, and she still has a shot at the Grand Slam. Keep a close eye on this one.	Last Month #3 +1 $ Change +59%
#3	Avg. Price $173.52 High Price $213.50 (BGS 9)	Phil Mickelson 2002 SP Authentic Auto /799 Phil gets a slight spike this month on the strength of a BGS 9 sale that sold for over $200. Personally this is one of my favorite golf cards and I don't think this card will fall from the Top 5 anytime this year. Go Lefty!	Last Month #5 +2 $ Change +7%
#4	Avg. Price $95.08 High Price $167.50 (BGS 9.5)	Paula Creamer 2005 SP Authentic Auto /799 Paula takes a step back in April, but still had a healthy 7 sales. It's interesting to note that a BGS 8.5 sold for more than a BGS 9 this month and both for less then $80.	Last Month #4 $ Change -43%
#5	Avg. Price $87.65 High Price $150.00	Lorena Ochoa 2003 SP Authentic Auto /1999 Lorena joins Tiger as the only golfer to have two SPA RCs in the GCR Top 5. She also breaks her own record set last month with 37 sales in April. If Lorena can win another major or two this season you can expect this card to flirt with $200. To think just a month ago you could find this card for less than $20. Think I'll build a time machine.	Last Month #9 +4 $ Change +68%
#6	Avg. Price $64.00 High Price $87.00 (BGS 9.5)	David Duval 2001 SP Authentic Auto /900 Double D makes his first appearance in the rankings, though not on the strength of his play. Duval has yet to make a cut this season and he's far removed from his major champion form. Still, this is a key card in the 2001 SP Authentic set. The 59% decrease stems from a BGS 9.5 single sale in March.	Last Month (1st Time) $ Change -59%
#7	Avg. Price $51.03 High Price $62.05	Annika Sorenstam 2003 SP Authentic Auto /799 Annika fell out of the rankings in March with only 1 sale, but returns to her Top 10 form this month. Annika's RC has been overshadowed by Lorena for most of the year. A 39% increase is a good sign though. Watch this card spike should Annika win a major before year's end.	Last Month N/A $ Change +39%
#8	Avg. Price $26.25 High Price $31.00	Natalie Gulbis 2003 SP Authentic Auto /1999 Back in the Top 10, with sights on the Top 5. Natalie's RC is always a steady seller but it will take another win or two to catapult her up the rankings. Although three out of four GCR Top 10's in 2008 is not bad.	Last Month #12 +4 $ Change -4%
#9	Avg. Price $25.00 High Price $25.00 (PSA 9)	Jasper Parnevik 2001 SP Authentic Auto /900 GCR welcomes Jasper to the rankings. The least expensive of the original "Auto 6", Jasper gets 2 sales in April, both for $25, and one of them a PSA 9.	Last Month 1st Time $ Change +13%
#10	Avg. Price $21.44 High Price $41.00	Suzann Pettersen 2004 SP Authentic Auto /1500 It's hard to improve on a 700+% increase over the previous month, but a high price of $41.00 is good enough to stay in the Top 10. There are two variations of auto colors on this card, a black and a blue. It appears the blue auto is the more difficult to find, but with a small sample size it's still hard to know for sure. I'll have more on the auto variations in the coming months.	Last Month #10 $ Change -24%
#11	Avg. Price $15.77 High Price $20.00	Geoff Ogilvy 2004 SP Authentic Auto /1500 Geoff retains the #11 spot again this month with 4 total sales. Props to Golfgasm for submitting the first BGS 9.5 Ogilvy RC. 2004 SP Authentic is a very tough grade, and currently there are only two 9.5 RC's in the registry.	Last Month #11 $ Change -43%
#12	Avg. Price $11.50 High Price $13.26	Zach Johnson 2004 SP Authentic Auto /1500 Speaking of 9.5s, it has become my goal to submit the first BGS 9.5 ZJ RC. If someone should beat me to the punch please send me a scan.	Last Month #14 +2 $ Change -39%
#13	Avg. Price $10.62 High Price $16.25	Shaun Micheel 2004 SP Authentic Auto /750 Another 2004 RC makes his debut in the GCR rankings. Micheel will be most remembered for winning the 2003 PGA Championship, and as a major winner was given the distinction of being a level 1 RC (one of only four /750) in 2004. #14	Avg. Price $10.50 High Price $12.50	Stacy Prammanasudh 2005 SP Authentic Auto /999 Stacy leaps over fellow 2005 allum O'Hair this month and remains a key card in the 2005 SP Authentic set.	Last Month #15 +1 $ Change -31%
#15	Avg. Price $10.07 High Price $15.50	Sean O'Hair 2005 SP Authentic Auto /999 Last month this card look destined for the Top 5. What a difference a month makes. O'Hair is one of the best young American golfers on the PGA Tour and much like ZJ, no BGS 9.5 exists to date. The race is on.	Last Month #13 -2 $ Change -51%
#16	Avg. Price $7.50 High Price $12.50	Se Ri Pak 2003 SP Authentic Auto /799 Pak is bak, returning to the rankings for the first time since February. At only /799 produced, this card does not come up for auction very often.	Last Month N/A $ Change N/A
#17	Avg. Price $7.01 High Price $8.51	Mike Weir 2001 SP Authentic /2999 Weir sets a GCR record in moving up 8 spots, from 25th last month to 17th. Mike's RC is still the only non-auto RC card to make its way into the Top 25, though Adam Scott's RC lurks.	Last Month #25 +8 $ Change +98%
#18	Avg. Price $6.79 High Price $8.00	Candie Kung 2004 SP Authentic Auto /1500 Candie had a brief stint in the GCR Top 25 in February, and currently has one Top 10 on the young LPGA season.	Last Month N/A $ Change -35%
#19	Avg. Price $5.78 High Price $8.00	Tim Petrovic 2002 SP Authentic Auto /1499 Timmae! Timmy P. comes out of no where with a 484% increase over last month for his first time in the rankings. Petrovic has looked good at times with two Top 10s on tour, but needs to avoid the cut more often if he wants to jump into the Top 10 of the GCR rankings.	Last Month 1st Time $ Change +484%
#20	Avg. Price $5.30 High Price $8.38	Christina Kim 2005 SP Authentic Auto /999 Another GCR first timer, and one of only sixteen cards left to complete my SPA Golf RC collection. I just can't seem to place the winning bid. If you are buying this card in the coming months beware of shlinklincoln. ; o )	Last Month 1st Time $ Change N/A
#21	Avg. Price $5.01 High Price $6.01	Beth Daniel 2004 SP Authentic Auto /1500 Beth enjoys her first RC Top 25 nod with an impressive 285% increase from March. Also see #20.	Last Month 1st Time $ Change +285%
#22	Avg. Price $4.81 High Price $8.50	Nick Dougherty 2002 SP Authentic Auto /1499 And yet another newbie. Dougherty, a Euro tour vet, is an underrated RC in the class of 2002 and has the talent to win a major before it's all said and done. Unfortunately for him (and everyone else) he plays in the era of Tiger.	Last Month 1st Time $ Change +386%
#23	Avg. Price $4.74 High Price $5.24	Charles Howell III 2002 SP Authentic Auto /1499 Charles III gets his third straight GCR Top 25, though like most RCs this month sees a decrease in price over March dropping five spots.	Last Month #17 -5 $ Change -56%
#24	Avg. Price $4.64 High Price $5.00	Ben Curtis 2004 SP Authentic Auto /750 Curtis has also been a staple in the Top 25 but drops eight places for April. This is one of the better bargains for a major winner auto and you can almost always get one for less than $10.	Last Month #16 -8 $ Change -59%
#25	Avg. Price $4.59 High Price $5.51	Jeong Jang 2004 SP Authentic Auto /1500 Jeong holds the last spot this month as a first timer. This was an initial redemption card that has since expired, so there could possibly be less than 1500 out there.	Last Month 1st Time $ Change N/A

Note for February rankings:

With a full month of data and over 300 sales tracked, the Top 10 is now the Top 25. Golf Rookies are alive and well, even if they go unreported in the major price guide publications. Being the first month of the Top 25, a lot of card stats below are marked N/A (not available) as I improved my tracking from January to February. These stats should get more in depth in the coming months.
